If Senator Barack Obama asked you...

If Senator Barack Obama asked you if the Bible should be used as a policy guide for our country, what would you say? If your answer was "yes", how would you respond to his following statement at a conference on June 28, 2006? 


Which passages of Scripture should guide our public policy? Should we go with Leviticus which suggests that slavery is okay? Or we could go with Deuteronomy which suggests stoning your child if he strays from the faith. Or should we just stick with the sermon on the mount, a passage that is so radical that it’s doubtful that our own Defense Department would survive its application. Folks haven’t been reading their Bible.

It is vital that believers around the world know why they believe what they believe. Are you equipped to give an answer for the hope that is in you (1 Pet 3:15?
